The story of a name.
Maison Octave was born one evening, around a table, in a restaurant in Toulouse. The conversation drifted to two shared passions: music, and the history of civilizations.
One figure stood out: Octave, the future emperor Augustus, a nod to ancient Rome and its pursuit of balance and radiance.
The name also resonated in music: an octave is the perfect harmony between two notes. A simple way of saying what we look for in every bottle: balance.
A selection criterion.
Before the elderflower liqueur came to life, and then the Vintage Prosecco that goes with it, it took months of research and tastings to find the right balance.
The Prosecco was chosen for its freshness and well-judged sweetness, deliberately more subtle than the market average, so that the elderflower has room to shine rather than being drowned out.
